God is the Doer, Not Me – Bishop Oyedepo At Shiloh 2018

-

The presiding bishop of Living Faith Church, otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has urged worshipers at Faith Tabernacle to ascribe glory to God alone for the blessings in their lives as Shiloh 2018 rounded off.

He noted that no man could save another, saying it was time the people re-direct themselves and see God as the source of their blessings.

Bishop Oyedepo in his sermon during Shiloh thanksgiving service titled: ‘Why Are We Thanking God,’ said God is the source of the testimonies recorded in the lives of members of the church.

The cleric cleared the air on the assumptions of some people who claimed he appeared in their dreams to set them free from their challenges, saying it was God that did the miracles. “I was in my room; it was God that set you free, He only used my face.”

He added that God could use animate and inanimate objects to do His wonders, hence the need for ministers to be humble.

He said: “You are not the doer, let every minister have an understanding of this. We are giving thanks to the source of the blessings in our lives. God can use anybody anytime to carry out his purpose…God gave the utterance, word, and released His virtues and it is the virtue that we draw on that enhances our value.”

On why we must thank God, Bishop Oyedepo said thanksgiving was a debt everybody owed God, and perfect soundness always follow genuine thanksgiving.

“It multiplies God’s blessings in our lives; it preserves His presence.  Engage in tireless thanksgiving and celebration of God at all times.”

He added that thanksgiving was an asset in the life of a believer, as it makes great and mighty things happen in the life of the ‘thanks-giver’.

He ended by admonishing members that to take God for granted was to be grounded.
