Beware Of Magicians Fronting As Men Of God – AEGA

-

A member of the Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies (AEGA) Incorporated, has noted that people who front as men of God and collect money from others before attending to their spiritual needs are magicians.

Reverend Professor Edwin N. Korley said people had gone for marine and other powers and using the Bible to charge consultation fees, selling anointing oil and other things to unsuspecting Ghanaians.

Rev Korley, who is a Professor of Theology, Biblical Studies and Christian Education, was the key speaker at AEGA 2016 Ghana National Conference in Tema at the weekend hosted by the Amazing Grace Church International, on the theme: “ When God Steps In, Miracles Happen.”

The ceremony was used to ordain 11 Ministers of God, whose feet were washed in line with the Ministry of Christ in John 13. They were also offered the Holy Communion.

Ministerial and Christian workers were also commissioned and were given the “appropriate credentials”.

Rev Korley who was speaking on miracles said: “Although miracles are absolutely essential element in Christianity,” people should distinguish whether it was coming from God or from the agents of the devil.

“The coming of Christ marked the greatest of all epochs in religious history. The revelation he brought, which centered in himself, was that for which all preceding revelations were preparatory, “ he said.

Rev Korley spoke against the varied election predictions by the so called Men of God, asking if the messages were coming from God why should such prophecies contradict each other?

He asked the clergy to sentisise the electorate about the qualities to look for in the political parties.

Rev Korley called on Ghanaians to collect the monies politicians were dishing out to influence their votes and rather vote with their conscience.

Mr Isaac Ashai Odamtten, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive asked Ghanaians to ensure peaceful elections by making sure they were not influence by any politician to course mayhem.
