The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost (COP), Apostle Eric Nyamekye, says the Church will in the next five years enhance partnership with Government to help achieve its sustainable development agenda.

This, he said, is part of the Church’s Vision 2023 provision on Church-State strategic partnership in contributing to the transformation of Ghana.

“We will initiate a security-based development project dubbed ‘Police Station and Post Project (PSPP)’ to put up police stations/police posts in some selected deprived communities and insecure areas. This will be our contribution to Government efforts to provide police posts in communities where they are needed,” he said.

Apostle Nyamekye further announced that the Church in collaboration with the Ghana Prisons Service, will initiate the construction of accommodation facilities (cells) for selected prisons in the country as part of efforts to support Government in easing congestions in the prisons.

He stated: “As part of our efforts to promote the values and principles of the Kingdom of God in our state and non-state institutions, the Church shall seek to train more chaplains and deploy them to various institutions such as the military, police, prisons, hospice/hospitals, sports, orphanages, palaces, as well as some corporate institutions.”
