On Sunday the 4th of March, 2018, Presiding Bishop of the First Love Church located in East Legon, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills launched for the third time in a row, what He termed as the- 100 Million Souls Campaign. This was during the Church’s regular Sunday evening service- the Revival @ 7.
The launch was in lieu of the Healing Jesus Crusade for the year 2018.
Dag Heward-Mills during the service told members that, serving God a thousand years is not equal to winning a soul for the kingdom of God. He mentioned that soul winning is the only thing that changes God’s mood towards christians. He cited the parable of the Prodigal son in the bible to buttress the point he made.
Furthermore, He also said that, the beginning of destruction in the lives of many people is the “fight for independence”. Dag Heward-Mills yesterday said that for most youth and elderly inclusive, that spirit of independence is the cause of problems in relationships generally (i.e. during dating, marriage, courtship, etc.).
In explaining the spirit of independence, He used the popular parable of the Prodigal son in the bible. Where a son decided to be independent of the watchful eyes of his dad, and it resulted in him losing all his inheritance. Bishop Mills advised that people should always look to be close, instead of being far (be it at work, at home, etc).
Dag Heward-Mills’ Healing Jesus Campaign has been around since it began in Tema, in February 2004.
