Dearly beloved, I welcome you to a week of God’s divine Providence. As we go through this week’s devotions and prayer, build faith in God knowing that He is an ever-present help in time of need.
Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”
John 11:21-22 NKJV
Many believers give up when things are not going well. Many are left disappointed because they feel God has forgotten about their pain and predicament. Some lose faith in God and may even resort entirely on human help. “God may not be there when you need Him but He’s never too late.”
He shows up at the right time when all hope seems lost and gives you a tangible miracle.
Having been called by Mary and Martha, He delayed until Lazarus, his friend, died. He went into Judea without remorse because He knew the final decision was within His limitless power. While Martha was mourning and lamenting as many believers do, He was excited about last hour miracle He was bringing to the family and the glory they will bring to the kingdom. Eventually, he resurrected Lazarus and it was glorious in the city.
In trying moments of waiting, faith is being tested. God has stretched my faith on many occasions when I needed Him most. Perseverance and dependence on Him eventually paid off. God is never too late.
He may not show up at the time you need Him but maintain your faith, stay focused on Him, keep your positive confession and never give up the fight. In the nick of time He will show up and your Lazarus shall live again.
Declare this:
Father, give me faith to believe that no matter the delays in my life, you are faithful enough to give me an eleventh hour miracle in Jesus’ name. Amen
