Chinese pastor Wang Yi and his wife Jiang Rong, have been arrested alongside 100 church members. They were picked up from the church, their homes or the streets by police during a raid on Sunday. They are accused of subverting state power, and can be sentenced for up to 5 years.
Pastor Wang is being criminally detained. Jiang Rong is under residential surveillance. Their 11 year old son is staying with a relative and they are under 24 hour police surveillance.
Now also arrested, Li Yingqiang, Wang’s assistant, says “persecution is a price worth paying for the LORD.”
