Kete-Krachi Area Dedicates 31 CBCB Projects In 2017

-

The Kete-Krachi Area of The Church of Pentecost in 2017 constructed and dedicated 31 Community Based Church Buildings (CBCBs) across the various assemblies in the Area.

This was disclosed by the Area Head, Apostle Komi Edina Agbavitoh, during the 2017 End-of-Year Presbytery Meeting held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Kete-Krachi.

Apostle Agbavitoh thanked God for the great feat chalked. He also commended the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, and the Executive Council, for instituting the novelty.

The CBCB projects are fully funded by the Headquarters. It is a bold step by leadership of the Church to eliminate churches under trees and classrooms.

According to Agbavitoh, through the CBCB fund many beautiful places of worship have been constructed in the Area.

“In demonstration of its commitment to this initiative, the Headquarters funded the cost of the material and the cost of skilled labour whilst the beneficiary local assemblies contributed by taking responsibility for the supply of unskilled labour and some basic materials such as sand and stones, which could be weaned locally and water for construction work,” he indicated.

The Area Head explained that all the building projects were completed in a maximum of three months, with the Area and District Estate Committees having direct oversight responsibility and supervision over the project.

PENTECOST NEWS caught up with some officers of the beneficiary local assemblies at the meeting and the expression of joy on their faces was a clear indication that they have been relieved of a bigger burden of building a complete church by themselves.

Elder Edward Dapaah of Osramani District commended the Chairman and the Executive Council for the CBCB initiative.
