1. You must be born again because the first time you were born, you were born in sin.
Why do you have to write an exam again? Because it did not work out well the first time you did it.
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I WAS SHAPEN IN INIQUITY; AND IN SIN DID MY MOTHER CONCEIVE ME. Psalm 51:1-5
2. You must be born again because you are dead. Death has fallen on all men because of their sins.
The whole world lives in sin and wickedness. Americans, Iraqis, Ghanaians, Canadians and South Africans live in the fallen state of sinful man. Evil can be found in beautiful places like Switzerland. Amidst the beautiful mountains and lakes, can be found all the sins of mankind like prostitution, murder, drug addiction and suicide.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN SINS, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:4-6
3. You must be born again because when Adam sinned he introduced death into the whole world.
Wherefore, as BY ONE MAN SIN ENTERED INTO THE WORLD, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12
4. You must be born again because death has spread to the whole world since Adam introduced sin into the world.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and SO DEATH PASSED UPON ALL MEN, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12
5. You must be born again because although death was introduced by one man, Adam, the free gift of life has been re-introduced by one man, Jesus Christ.
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF ONE THE FREE GIFT CAME UPON ALL MEN unto justification of life.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:18-19
6. You must be born again by hearing and receiving the incorruptible Word of God.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23
7. You can be born again by believing in Jesus Christ’s death, the shedding of His blood, His burial and His resurrection.
But AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12
