5 Ways To Let The Blessing Do The Work Pt. 3

  1. Let THE BLESSING Defend You

“The Lord is your mighty defender.” –Deuteronomy 32:4 (GNT)

When you’ve been wronged, slighted or downright betrayed, do you spring into action to defend yourself? When you’ve been wronged, it can be tempting to rise up and take action, and sometimes the Lord will tell you to do just that. However, you shouldn’t defend yourself without His backing.

Joseph never defended himself against Potiphar. He didn’t spend time fighting to get out of prison. He waited, and he let THE BLESSING take care of it. It didn’t happen overnight, but God avenged him in every way possible. There is no defender greater than our God.

You don’t have to fight your own fight. You don’t have to defend yourself and look out for your own rights. If you humble yourself and step out of the way, THE BLESSING will go ahead of you and prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies.

This is an important lesson to learn because when you walk in THE BLESSING, you will be persecuted. You will have a hundredfold return, with houses and lands that come from THE BLESSING, along with persecutions (Mark 10:30). THE BLESSING on you will make people envious of you, and they will persecute you. But don’t pay any attention to it.

The Church Of Pentecost Records 7.3% Growth In 2018

The Church of Pentecost worldwide grew by 7.3% in 2018, putting the global overall membership to 3,257,943.

The Church which currently operates in 101 nations including Ghana has impressive representation in Ghana, its headquarters, with 2,759,642 membership, constituting 84.7% of the worldwide total membership.

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, disclosed this in the 2019 State of the Church Address (SOCA 2019) at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

According to the Chairman, during the year under review, a total of 251,763 souls were won with 185,224, representing 73.6%, baptised in water. “To the glory of God, the church over the period witnessed the opening of 1,098 new assemblies worldwide and the creation of 128 districts,” he added.

He stated that the external branches recorded an overall total membership of 194,029; an increase of 3.7% over the previous year, which represented 15.3% of the Church’s worldwide membership.

The Chairman disclosed that the Church’s 2.7million plus membership in Ghana constitutes approximately 9.3% of the total estimated 2018 Ghanaian population of 29,614,337.3. This, he said, also constituted approximately 13.1% of the total Christian population in Ghana, which is estimated to be 71.2% of the Ghanaian population.

“Reflecting on these statistics affirms the urgent call on us as a Church to transform every sphere of our society with the values and principles of God as a means of possessing the nations for Christ,” he stated.

A further disaggregation of the data, he opined, shows that the youth membership is composed of 57% young adults and 43% teens. “This calls for the continuous need to effectively balance youth programmes to cater for both categories,” he noted.

The Chairman further said the overall analysis implies that 73% of Church’s membership in Ghana is made up of children and youth (up to 35yrs), an improvement over the previous years. “This continues to give an indication that The Church of Pentecost is a youthful church, a factor that projects a brighter future for the Church.

“It is therefore important for leadership at all levels to continue to give significant attention to nurturing these young people for leadership responsibilities, both within and outside the church. They remain a great force in our quest to possessing the nations for Christ,” he stressed.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye further said that, the total number of ministers of the Church in Ghana as at 2018, stood at 1,476. This, he said, represents a 5.9% increase over the previous year.

Missouri House Passes Bill Allowing Public Schools To Teach Bible Courses

The Missouri House passed a bill that would allow public schools in the state to teach elective social studies courses on the Bible.

The bill, sponsored by state Representative Ben Baker was passed by the Republican-led House with a 95-52 vote on Monday, according to The Associated Press, and awaits passage by the Senate.

The bill would allow Missouri public schools to offer Bible classes to their students as an elective, although institutions cannot make the courses mandatory. It also requires state education officials to set clear guidelines and standards if they chose to offer classes on the Old and New Testament.

Baker, a minister and dean of students at Ozark Bible College, said the proposal was intended to clarify existing law, which had been inconsistently interpreted across the state to signal that Bible classes were prohibited.

“The Bible is simply a part of the fabric of life,” Baker told the Missouri House Special Committee on Student Accountability last month, before they voted to advance the bill. Baker did not immediately respond to Newsweek‘s request for comment.

Christian activists and other supporters of the bill pointed to the Bible’s significance in global history and Western values to justify teaching it in public schools. “The Koran doesn’t come up in the plays of Shakespeare,” Chuck Stetson, founder of the Bible Literacy Project, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Missouri Representative Vic Allred added: “I think any Bible study at the high school level is a great idea.”

Opponents of the proposal argued that the measure appeared to prioritize Christianity above all other religions.

During the committee meeting in February, Brian Kaylor, a Missouri Baptist Church pastor who strongly opposes the bill, said that the BIble “cannot be reduced” to a school elective course. “I oppose this legislation, not because I oppose the Bible,” Kaylor said, according to the Post-Dispatch. “The Bible cannot be reduced to merely an elective high school class. The Bible is inherently religious, and we cannot pretend otherwise.”

Missouri is just one of several U.S. states where lawmakers have proposed to allow Bible courses in public schools. President Donald Trump tweeted his support of the bills in January, writing: “Numerous states introducing Bible Literacy classes, giving students the option of studying the Bible. Starting to make a turn back? Great!”

5 Ways To Let The Blessing Do The Work Pt. 2

  1. Let THE BLESSING Promote You

“The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant.” –Deuteronomy 6:11 (NLT)

So many times, Christians feel the need to fight their way to the top. There are even some who are willing to vote with those who promote immorality to protect their Social Security, Medicare or anything else they feel will help them advance in life. But God put THE BLESSING in place so we don’t have to toil, struggle or rely on man to be promoted in any area of our lives.

THE BLESSING will promote you even when you aren’t qualified in the natural. It will promote you when the world says you aren’t enough; it will promote you when you’ve had one setback after another; it will promote you when you’re surrounded by enemies who want to keep you from ever reaching your destination. But you have to let THE BLESSING do the work.

When you’re operating in the natural, you edge out the supernatural because you’re putting the energy of your faith toward yourself, rather than toward God. When you learn to step back and stop fighting in your own strength and allow God to promote you, you’ll see advancements you never dreamed possible. As Kenneth Copeland says, “THE BLESSING will make a somebody out of nobody.”

That’s what happened to Joseph when he was given a dream and vision for his life. That dream all but died right there in the pit where his brothers threw him. There was nothing he could do to promote himself out of that situation. But THE BLESSING was there—that’s what kept his brothers from killing him. THE BLESSING is what sent that caravan from Egypt to the right place and the right time, to fish him out of his pit and off to his destiny.

Feeling like you aren’t moving forward in life? Find out 3 Things to Do When You Feel Stuck.

Are you in a pit today? Have you been stuck in a place where it seems there is no way out or no possibility of advancement? Take a step back and invite God into your situation. Let THE BLESSING do the work and promote you to positions you’re not qualified for, to houses that have always seemed out of your price range, to ministries that seemed so far off, and to relationships you could never establish on your own.

Joseph was in a situation where he could do nothing on his own. He was a slave and then a prisoner, but the Bible says, “The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered” (Genesis 39:2, NIV). Notice, it doesn’t say Joseph prospered because of his race, his influential family, his education, his social status or his intelligence. No, THE BLESSING is what made Joseph prosper and receive a promotion to the second most powerful position in the world.

THE BLESSING of the Lord doesn’t care where you are or where you came from. Stop fighting the world and trying to prove yourself. Let THE BLESSING promote you, and you’ll find yourself in a palace!

How Jesus Turned This Ex-Witch Into A Prophetic Worship Leader

Jenny Weaver is a Spirit-filled worship leader with a prophetic anointing. But she wasn’t always filled with the joy of the Lord. At a young age, she turned to witchcraft for a sense of power and control in her abuse-filled life.

“In the dark place of my life that I was in, I didn’t see [witchcraft] as a bad thing,” she says. “I saw it as a good thing. I thought, Wow, I’m going to make my parents pay for what they’ve done. I’m going to get the kids back at school. So I began to study the religion of Wicca, and I became a practicing witch at a very young age.”

But witchcraft didn’t solve Weaver’s problems. She struggled with depression, cut her wrists almost every day and fell into a dangerous drug addiction.

Weaver also found that indulging in witchcraft opened the door for scary supernatural encounters. She was able to see into the spirit realm—but not the way Christians do.

“Drugs began to take over and I would see things move in my room,” she says. “I would go to open a drawer, and my hand would be almost touching it, and the drawer would open on its own. I would point to something on the wall, and it would fall off the wall. We would be talking about, ‘Hey, do you feel that weird spirit?’ And all of a sudden, light bulbs would break over our heads.”

Fear and addiction became bigger strongholds in Weaver’s life until one day, she found herself pregnant and alone in jail. Listen to the interview to find out how God broke through and healed her heart.

Paula White Cain Announces Her Son Will Pastor Her Church

Paula White Cain is now the oversight pastor at City of Destiny and her son, Brad Knight, is the senior pastor along with his wife, Rachel. The church, New Destiny Christian Center, is now legally known as City of Destiny.

“So today, I am officially installing Pastor Brad and Pastor Rachel as the senior pastors of over City of Destiny,” Cain says. “Everybody stand up on your feet, because this is God’s plan. I am moving to what I call oversight pastor, but let me explain that. That is apostolic, but I just haven’t embraced the title, though. … But as apostolic overseer of City of Destiny, today officially, it’s all been done legally, officially, we are City of Destiny. Welcome to your new beginning.”

Cain says she received a prophetic word in 2005 about the pastoral transition that didn’t make sense until 2019.

“The Lord spoke to me very clearly and said, ‘If you miss this moment, you will delay things. Do not miss this moment,'” Cain says.

Cain also spoke openly about the transition over the weekend at the Unleashed conference.

“I’m just messed up, it’s so powerful and profound,” Cain told the conference after Jentezen Franklin finished speaking. “I told my son (Brad Knight) will be the pastor as of this Sunday (May 5), because God spoke to me, so y’all don’t wanna miss Sunday because City of Destiny is being launched, come on. And God is moving. I’m the oversight pastor.”

The church’s website still lists Cain as the senior pastor, though a Facebook post announces Brad Knight as the pastor.

Cain says she is believing for the church to have 3,000 church plants. She will continue with Paula White Ministries. Cain will preach if her son asks.

“Minister Jon (Cain) and I are not going anywhere, but we submit ourselves to Pastor Brad for City of Destiny,” Cain says.

This Could Spark Another National Outpouring of the Holy Spirit – Light the Fire Again, Pensacola

The countdown has begun for what could spark another national outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

“Light the Fire Again, Pensacola,” a gathering of past and current revival leaders organized by Christ for All Nations (CFAN) (cfan.org), will take place Sept. 4-7 in Pensacola, Florida.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, CFAN president and CEO, announced the upcoming Pensacola conference in a live-event video from Argentina.

Kolenda was ministering with Pastor Claudio Freidzon, who leads a Buenos Aires church that has experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for more than 30 years. Sensing God’s providential timing, Kolenda and Freidzon made the surprising announcement that “Light the Fire Again Pensacola,” which was a paid, ticketed event, will now be free. And in anticipation of a historic move of God, the conference will move to a larger venue.

“Light the Fire Again” will now take place at the Pensacola Bay Center, a 10,000-seat arena, in the same city where the Brownsville Revival began more than 25 years ago.

Revival leaders from Brownsville, such as John Kilpatrick, Dr. Michael Brown and Jeri Hill, widow of the late Steve Hill, will be ministering, along with leaders from other revival movements from around the world. This will be the first time multiple streams of revival come together at a single time and place.

Speakers For Light The Fire Again, Pensacola

Ministers include John Arnott (Toronto Blessing), Claudio Freidzon and Carlos Annacondia (Argentine Revival), Rodney Howard Browne, Heidi Baker, Todd White, Lou Engle and others. Daniel Kolenda and Christ for all Nations, founded by German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, also have seen outpourings of the Holy Spirit in Africa and around the world, resulting in more than 78 million documented conversions.

The revivals, each with their own style and culture, had many things in common. All were characterized by an overwhelming sense of the presence of God, spontaneous joy and laughter, repentance, deliverance, physical and emotional healing, restored marriages and the salvation of the lost.

They also included the emergence and inclusion of anointed worship music. During “Light the Fire Again Pensacola,” pioneer worship leaders such as Lindell Cooley, Don Potter, Jeremy Sinnott and Eddie James will lead rich times of worship.

The Pensacola gathering, expected to draw a capacity crowd from across the U.S. and around the world, will be free to attend, but space is limited. Organizers are urging people to register as soon as possible at Light the Fire Tickets.

Why You Must Avoid Marrying Jobless Men, Pastor Adeboye Warns Single Ladies

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has warned single ladies to avoid marrying jobless men.

Jobless men, he said, have the tendencies to use, dump and abandon such ladies.

Adeboye spoke on Sunday at the May Special Prayer and Thanksgiving service by the RCCG Throne of Grace, National Headquarters Ebute Metta, Lagos.

According to him, a woman should not marry a man that has no work “if not you will be the work.”

He noted it is not sinful for a single lady to politely ask any man proposing marriage whether or not he has a job.

Stating that women are conceived as helpmeets, Adeboye argued only somebody who has a job can be helped.

Adeboye, who spoke through the Assistant General Overseer, (RCCG) Personnel and Administration Pastor Johnson Odesola, said the man is key and the woman has only come to help.

“Whatever the woman does is help. The man is major director in the house,” he stressed.

He stated taking care of the homes does not rest on the woman alone but the man and the woman who have come to help.

5 Ways To Let The Blessing Do The Work Pt. 1

Do you feel like you’re working and struggling to achieve your dreams? You’re not meant to do all the work! Find out how THE BLESSING will get you there.

Toiling and working, and working and toiling. Does that sound like your life? Sometimes it can feel like you’re spinning your wheels and getting nowhere—struggling to advance but facing setback after setback, or simply staying in the same place year after year. Certainly, there is an adversary who is always ready and willing to throw hindrances your way, but what if increase and advancement could be achieved with a simple tweak in your thinking?

THE BLESSING of the Lord was established by God to enforce all your covenant rights and advance you along in life, but sometimes it can be tempting to flip over to the natural and try to take the reins yourself. The unintended consequence ends up including delay and frustration.

God has put in each one of us the natural instinct to work hard, but we must balance our own work with a submission to the supernatural. If you’re ready to stop running, struggling and toiling to reach your dreams, goals and vision—begin to change your thinking with these five ways to put THE BLESSING to work in your life.

  1. Let THE BLESSING Make You Rich

“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” –Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV)

In this verse, that word translated sorrow literally means “to toil.” Now, there’s nothing wrong with work. The Bible says, “If you don’t work, you don’t eat” (2 Thessalonians 3:10, MSG). Work is a requirement for advancement, and the Bible is clear that diligence is required for promotion, increase and wealth. However, there is a difference between work and toil.

Work is putting your hands to something, so God can prosper and increase you (Deuteronomy 28:8). Toil is taking the responsibility and pressure of provision onto yourself. Some Christians have argued, “Well, I have to earn a living.”

Of this reasoning, Kenneth Copeland says this:

“Did you earn your salvation? No. You got it by grace and through faith. Did you earn the baptism in the Holy Ghost? How did you get it? Did you earn healing? How did you get that? Well, what makes you think you have to earn your money?”

You need to work, but you don’t need to make your own living. If you gather it for yourself, it works like a bag with holes in it. THE BLESSING of the Lord is what makes you rich—He makes you rich. The more you study, the more you’ll realize that THE BLESSING of the Lord, is the glory of the Lord, is the Spirit of the Lord, is the Lord Himself. He is THE BLESSING.

You don’t have to toil to be rich. A janitor can be rich and have a jet. Maybe you’re thinking, What does a janitor need with a jet? Well, it depends on what he does on the weekends! Maybe he’s preaching to the world on the weekends. If a man or woman is on assignment for Jesus, then that person does not live on his or her salary alone.

Each year when his board of directors determines his salary, Jerry Savelle—after thanking them—makes a personal declaration saying, “My salary is not my income. God is the source of my income, and my income will far exceed my salary.”

The same is true for you. You’re called to work, but not to struggle or toil. How do you do this? You do your work as working for the Lord, and you shift your mindset over to believing your income will far exceed your salary because God, not your salary, is your Source. You begin to rest and not worry about your finances, and you give your financial cares over to the Lord. Jesus went to great lengths to secure THE BLESSING for you, so you could be made rich and become a BLESSING to the world around you. His intention is for you to be made wealthy, not just for your own enjoyment, but for the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When you prosper, you can bring THE BLESSING to the dark places of the world around you. Wealthy believers are Satan’s worst nightmare. They fund ministries, they support missionaries, and they pay off houses and cars.
