Ukraine Considers Banning Russian-Affiliated Churches within Its Borders

0

Ukrainian authorities recently called for a ban on churches within its borders that are affiliated with Russia.

As reported by Reuters, Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council asked the government to make a law banning churches that are possibly taking orders from Russia.

In an address last Thursday, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy argued that pro-Russian influences are trying to “weaken Ukraine from within” as war rages on between Ukraine and Russia.

“We have to create conditions where no actors dependent on the aggressor state [Russia] will have an opportunity to manipulate Ukrainians and weaken Ukraine from within,” Zelenskyy said. “We will never allow anyone to build an empire inside the Ukrainian soul.”

The security council also called for an investigation into alleged “subversive activities of Russian special services in the religious environment of Ukraine” and a call for sanctions against unspecified individuals.

Meanwhile, last Friday, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) raided at least five parishes belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that had previously been linked to the Russian Orthodox Church.

A former diocese head was also served a notice of suspicion by authorities. The former leader is suspected of organizing a Pro-Moscow campaign with the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Metropolitan Kliment, a spokesperson for the church, says his organization “has always acted within the framework of Ukrainian law.”

“Therefore, the state of Ukraine does not have any legal grounds to put pressure on or repress our believers,” he added.

NHL Coach Blue Jackets Coach, Speaks on Humility, God’s Greatness

0

The Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Brad Larsen recently shared an inspiring testimony of God’s faithfulness throughout his life and NHL career.

During an interview with the CBN’s 700 Club, Larsen shared how his life changed after surrendering his life to Jesus Christ over a decade ago.

“May 22nd, 2011, I gave myself to the Lord! It changes your life, and for 30-plus years in my life, I had zero faith, and I didn’t know who that God was and what that looked like,” he explained. “So, you build your whole life of this, almost a facade of who you are or what you want to represent. And I’m not that man, you know. I don’t want to be that man anymore. So, change is required. To change, you have to change.”

While Larson, a former hockey player and assistant coach, acknowledged that he is “ultra-competitive” and wants to win every game, he practices humility by returning to John 3:30, which says, “He (Christ) must become greater; I must become less.”

“I’ll get out of His way and see where He wants to take it,” he added.

Larson added that cultivating an attitude of humility is essential on his team, CBN Newsreports.

“Humility, again, is a word that keeps coming back. Humility means it’s not about you. And in this world now, in this culture now, it’s really hard to take the focus off yourself. You have the social media, and it’s instant kind of feedback all the time,” he said. “I share this with my players a lot; it’s, ‘Whose opinion matters?’ You got to be really careful about that! Who’s feeding you? And there’s a lot getting thrown at them. Individual results, I need them because guys bring certain skill sets, but it’s always about the team!”

Larson also called Christ a “competitor” and “the ultimate warrior” for His saving work on the cross.

“When I understand what Jesus gave up, what He went through, there’s nobody tougher than Jesus. At any time, He could have brought in the cavalry and made it go away. But He didn’t. It is incredible. When you think about the purpose that Jesus came and did it for. I mean, when you see that kind of love and grace, that grabs your attention!”

Prior to knowing Christ, Larson revealed that he had survived two battles with cancer in the span of three years.

“I had an athlete’s mentality at that point when I found out I was stage 2, almost stage 3 melanoma, you know, we were very fortunate,” he recalled. “And then a year and a half later, I had testicular cancer going into the playoffs, and it was on my daughter’s first birthday, having surgery and went through radiation. We caught it early. It wasn’t that I was thinking about dying; it was ‘why am I here’ and to understand, it’s not about you!”

THE MANDATE – David Oyedepo

0

Many many hear this anointed vessel talk about or mention the mandate so many times in his messages. So what is the ‘mandate”

This is how he describes it. The Mandate” was received from the LORD in an 18-hour vision. On a trip to Ilesha on the 1st of May 1981, he encountered the Holy Spirit which said to him, ‘Look out for a quiet place, I want to talk to you’. He obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit and this preceded an Encounter of an “Eighteen-hour vision”

In that great vision, he saw a line-up of afflicted and oppressed, broken, beaten, battered, the blind, the lame and the wretched. He saw all kinds of deformities, and he was greatly bewildered. He heard their wailings as they filed past, and their groanings were so intense that he could almost feel their pains. He could not help it, and so, he began to cry and sob along with them.

But, he asked, ‘Lord, what is this?’ Then, he heard God say to him, ‘And from the beginning, it was not so’. Distinctly, he heard God say the second time,

‘And from the beginning, it was not so and now, the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the Word of faith; and I am sending you to undertake this task’.

” Our task is to liberate the entire world from all oppressions of the enemy both spirtual and physical through the teachings and preaching of the word of FAITH, schooling them to exploits in life and releasing men and women to thier full potentials to benefit humanity

This was the Divine mandate received from the LORD:

Today, testimonies of liberation through our messages, books, tapes, magazines and other periodicals are most humbling. The word of faith is working like fire for the liberation of mankind across the nations.

Multiplication After The Dangers, Toils And Snares!!

0

The last Gospel Crusade for Cfan and family in Ghana , has ended with an amazing report.

The last Gospel crusade of the year ended on a very high note. The crowds more than doubled the last night. There were many tens of thousands of decisions for Christ documented and so many amazing miracles took place!

The big mandate on Cfan in this season is “Multiplication.” And it played a part in everything that was done to train, equip and deploy laborers into the harvest.  In this crusade, the impact of these multiplication efforts could be felt. The whole city was reeled from the 2,862 separate outreaches that shook the region in a three-week period leading up to the crusade resulting in 350,693 documented decisions for Christ! Many reports from local pastors that they have been stirred and convicted by the passion of these Bootcamp evangelists—so much so that many are continuing to conduct the same kinds of outreaches after the Cfan team has left. One major denomination in Ghana sent representatives to learn what happened so that they can implement the Bootcamp outreach strategies across the entire nation!

Value Every Moment in the Presence of a Great Leader by Dag Heward-Mills

Three People Who Valued Their Fellowship with Great Leaders

1. John the disciple spoke of his interaction with Jesus.
He shared how he had actually touched the Lord and heard Him speak.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1 John 1:1,2

This was the greatest experience of his life.  A few moments in the presence of a great leader will teach you many things.
2. Elisha refused to go away from the presence of Elijah.
He knew how important it was for him to stay close.  On four different occasions, he refused to go away.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
2 Kings 2:2

“3. Joshua was also greatly affected by his close interaction with Moses.
Remember that Joshua was the only one who went up the mountain with Moses.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
Exodus 24:12,13

All the members of Moses’ original team became “someway” as time elapsed.  Aaron moved into idol worship.  Miriam became disloyal and critical.  But Joshua was full of wisdom because of his closeness to Moses.

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Deuteronomy 34:9

It will inspire you to be closer to God.
5. Notice their appearance and their language.
You will feel the atmosphere of greatness.
6. Notice how they handle situations.
You will receive wisdom for your own situation.
7. Notice their weaknesses.
When you see their great achievements in spite of their weaknesses, you will be encouraged.

Alvin Slaughter: Dynamic Worship

0

Speak the name Alvin Slaughter and visions of dynamic worship songs and lively praise tunes rush to mind. The Dove and Stellar Award nominee has been a pivotal part of the growth of praise and worship in the Church. This former lead vocalist of the GRAMMY Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is known for his cross-cultural songs and a smooth blending of gospel and contemporary Christian music, creating a style that’s uniquely his own.

But don’t be fooled, there’s much more to this amazing artist than catchy songs and crystal clear vocals. Alvin is a man on a mission. His mission is to help transform the lives of people who have been bound by self doubt and religious tradition – – setting them free with the acceptance of God’s love and the power of a personal relationship with God.

Alvin is the epitome of the phrase “success is a journey not a destination.” He spent years living life as a defeated Christian. The effects of bankruptcy, foreclosure, welfare, low self esteem and a troubled marriage ruled his life until 1990, when he discovered a whole other world outside the four corners of his own mind. Little did he know that he was on a collision course with the power of God. A power strong enough to set Alvin on an amazing path that would lead him back into the doors of the church, right into the arms of Christ and into a powerful, worldwide music ministry.

In 1991, Alvin began receiving invitations to sing at national evangelistic crusades and major Christian conferences. Today, as a recording artist, entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and philanthropist, he is a regular on Christian television and travels all over the world in concert ministry… healing hearts through his compassionate speaking, restoring joy with his songs of faith and exhorting Christians to live passionately for God.

Six albums later, his latest being Overcomer, an album that echoes his testimony, Alvin has made a name for himself in the genre of praise and worship. Accolades have followed including Dove Award nominations for Praise & Worship Album of the Year, Contemporary Black Gospel Album of the Year and Contemporary Black Gospel Song of the Year as well as a Stellar Award nomination for Best Male Solo Performance. He’s nurtured a career that’s seen him speak and sing globally in South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and throughout the United States, racking up millions of miles on the road.

Alvin frequently appears as a guest soloist from major conferences and festivals around the country and, he has appeared on the Trinity Broadcast Network more times than he can count. Because of Alvin’s leadership and experience, he received an honorary doctorate from Canada Christian College in Toronto. Excited by the doors that God has opened for him, his mission, now more than ever before, is to also help open the door for others to find their own voice, reach their unique potential and have a personal relationship with God.

This passion inspired the writing of Alvin’s book, “I Got It Back!,” an inspiring work that gives six keys to living and growing in the faith life. “I Got It Back!” was written to help people overcome fear, failure and other people’s opinions. Written in an honest, inspiring and sometimes humorous way, it guides the reader on how to make right decisions based on Godly wisdom when faced with difficult situations. Most importantly, it will help people reignite their faith and discover a renewed passion for God.

“This is a new day. Too many people still live their lives just holding on, living in the past or walking in fear,” says Alvin. “… just ‘holding on’ for most people is an exercise in futility. If your life is stuck in neutral, you need to forget about ‘just holding on’ and start ‘pulling up’ from out of the pit you’re in.”

Alvin’s goal of spiritual empowerment has moved far beyond the boundaries of the United States and is also specifically embracing the overwhelming problems faced in the nations of Africa.

“My focus has expanded from just music to blending the ministry of music, inspirational speaking and writing — empowering people to not just live passively, sort of looking at their lives as something that they cannot control, but to live passionately, finding the courage and power within to live their lives on God’s terms for them and not someone else’s,” says Alvin.

Whether by song, the written or spoken word, Alvin is committed to helping others across the world discover their value and destiny in Christ.
