Commit Your Work To God And It Shall Prosper

1
“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established”……………Proverbs 16:3

People all over the world want to succeed, want to be established in life, and want their plans to prosper, yet many do not want to acknowledge God or commit their ways to Him.

Today’s lesson speaks expressly that when you hand over (commit) your works to God, your thoughts, expectations, plans, desires shall be established. The New Living Translation says, your plans will succeed.

Friend, are there things you’re doing and it seems there’s no improvement in it, commit it to God today. Is your business stagnant, commit it to Him also. Seek God’s counsel on that work or business today and you shall see it established.

Food For Thought: Lean on God’s Ability today and be Established

Over 1,000 Christians In Nigeria Killed By Fulani, Boko Haram In 2019: NGO Report

0

Over 1,000 Christians have been killed this year in Nigeria as attacks led by Fulani extremists continue to plague rural farming communities in the Middle Belt, according to an estimation published by the U.K.-based nongovernmental organization Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust.

HART, a nonprofit founded by U.K. member of Parliament Baroness Caroline Cox to “support people suffering from conflict and persecution,” released a report last month sharing details and testimonies from a recent fact-finding mission to Nigeria.

The Nov. 18 report is titled “Your Land or Your Body: The escalating persecution and displacement of Christians in northern and central Nigeria.” A copy of the report was obtained by The Christian Post.

“Islamist Fulani militia continue to engage in an aggressive and strategic land grabbing policy in Plateau, Benue, Taraba, Southern Kaduna and parts of Bauchi state,” the report reads. “They attack rural villages, force villagers off their lands and settle in their place — a strategy that is epitomized by the phrase: ‘your land or your blood.’”

Fulanis are a predominantly Muslim nomadic people group of about 20 million across West and Central Africa. They have long come under tension with farming communities as the scarcity for land gets greater and the human populations get larger.

While farmer-herder clashes are nothing new, the violence carried out against farming communities has increased in severity as thousands have been killed in the last several years.

While the report states that the exact death toll for 2019 is unknown, “Preliminary data suggests that over 1,000 Christians have been killed since January.” HART estimates that there have been more than 6,000 Christians killed since 2015 and as many as 12,000 displaced from their villages.

“I have visited many of the affected areas and seen the tragedies of death and destruction,’” Cox said in a statement. “In every village, the message from local people is the same: ‘Please, please help us! The Fulani are coming. We are not safe in our own homes.’”

“We Have Done Well, But We Can Do More”

There are few events that can be described as a“once in a life time experience”.  The Grand Dedication of The Way Cathedral, Headquarters of the Lighthouse Chapel International Denomination, in Ayawaso definitely ranks as such.
On Sunday, 3rd December, all roads led to the The Way Cathedral as many from far and near made their way to this truly historic event.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills

The journey of approximately two years from construction through completion to Dedication, which culminated in this momentous day was led by Bishop Steve Asare, the resident Bishop of The Way Cathedral.

Indeed, the building, completion and dedication of the Cathedral can undoubtedly be traced to a series of prophetic prayers prayed upon Bishop Steve Asare by the Prophet Dag Heward-Mills

The occasion was graced by the Archbishop of UD, Archbishop Ampofo supported by the Executive Council of Bishops of the UD and Non UD Pastors.

Watch Out For The Terrorists Of Leadership

0
1 Corinthians 10:12 (NLT) “If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.”
It is imperative for every leader to know and understand that his greatest enemy is internal, and not external. And in fact, there is an internal battle that is even more dangerous and deadly than all external struggles.

This battle has to do with temptations that we need to overcome.

From today’s opening verse, the Bible makes us understand that, we must not be complacent when it comes to temptation, but rather we must be careful, so that we can stand strong till the end.

Here are three of such temptations that every leader must be careful about:

  1. The love of money
Jesus considers the love of money a greater threat to a believer’s life than even the Devil. In Matthew 6:24, we learn that “…You cannot serve both God and money.”
  2. The love of Sex
Sexual desire is one of the strongest human desires that we must really pay attention to. If not checked, these desires can lead to one of the worst sins in the Bible—sexual sin(sex outside marriage). Scripture says in Ephesians 5:3 that, “But among you, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.”
  3. The love of power
If any believer wants an example of a leader who allowed the love of power to dethrone him, he shouldn’t look further than Lucifer. A beautiful angel reduced to a devil because, to him, having power was more important than being a servant (Isaiah 14:12-17).

Precious one, let us put aside complacency and fight these terrorists of leadership—the love of money, sex, and power.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me by Your Spirit to overcome every temptation that may come my way, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thanks Living – RCCG Holy Ghost Congress 2019 – The Great Turnaround

0
Text: Psam 30:11-12
Turning your life to Jesus is the first act of thanksgiving.
Some live to eat, some live to quarrel, some live to complain but we should live to give thanks.

Our Thanksgiving should be THANKS-LIVING.

Why we need to practise Thanks-living:
1. Mercy has come through for us, especially during this congress. Psalm 86:13.
2. What you give thanks for is not only retained, it gets increased and accelerated.
3. If you do not give thanks for what you have received, it will start diminishing. You have to be Thanks-Full. Malachi 2:1-2.

Turning your life to Jesus is the first act of Thanksgiving.
God has been good to you but you need to give your heart and life to Him.
He is always ready to receive you.

Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills In First Campaign After Passing Of Reinhard Bonnke

0
On the last day of the First campaign after the passing of the man known as the Evangelist for Africa, Reinhard Bonnke, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills has paid tribute thanking God for such a gift.
Evangelist Dag is currently in the Bono Region of Ghana campaigning for souls and seeing massive crowds coming to Jesus.

On the final day in the city of Drobo, Evangelist Dag prayed and thanked God for the life of Reinhard Bonnke asking for crowns to be given to the man who has inspired him to also preach across Africa winning souls for Jesus.
Many mighty miracles accompanied the three day campaign in Drobo.

The Revelation Of Jesus (Spiritual Authority)

0
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:19

Jesus in interaction with his disciples wanted to find out how spiritually sharp they were so he posed to them a question; “who do you say that I am?” Peter under the influence of the Holy Spirit exclaimed “the Christ, the Son of the living God”. This excited Jesus so much he began to prophesy over Peter.

Peter’s insight is what merited these mighty declarations from Jesus in the scripture above. When you catch a revelation of Jesus, you become weightier in the spirit. Out of nowhere, Peter the fisherman now carried power to bind and loose with the backing of heaven.

The revelation of Jesus comes with spiritual maturity and authority that gives you the power to preach the Word, intercede in prayer and win souls for Christ.

Paul, in Acts 9, was on his way to Damascus to look for believers to arrest and persecute when Jesus met and changed his life. After this encounter, he “immediately preached about Christ in the synagogues.” (Acts 9:20). A man who hated the Gospel so much that he killed people because of it; where did he all of a sudden have revelations to start preaching? It was an encounter with Jesus!

After an encounter with Jesus, you naturally desire to learn more and spend more time in his presence, leading you deeper into the supernatural and building up your spiritual capacity. Today I pray that you shall become weightier in the spirit! May you receive authority and power that will cause the enemy to fear you.

So when the Lord assures of the great turnaround, He must have us in mind. In situations like ours, His people had always experienced great turnarounds great turnarounds al through the generations. He has done it before and He will do it again because according to Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.” He is the unchangeable changer.

It Is God’s Time to Bless Our Land’: Cambodia Readies for the Gospel

0
Sin Somnang grew up in a Buddhist family in Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh. In 1995, around age 15, he became the first of his family to become a Christian, and he now serves as pastor of a ministry he started for the poor and uneducated in his hometown.

He’s also chairman for the Love Phnom Penh Festival with Franklin Graham, happening this weekend, December 7-8.

“It is God’s time to bless our land where we have been sojourning almost 40 years since 1979,” he said.

That’s the year Vietnam forces captured Phnom Penh, just four years after the Vietnam War. The military intervention by Vietnam forces began the fall of the Khmer Rouge, a brutal communist regime that outlawed religion.

Somnang has already seen evidence of God’s blessing in his country. Multiple family members have accepted Jesus as their Savior, including his mother who just received Christ on October 23.

Part of Festival preparation is having Christians write down the names of people who don’t yet believe in Christ and committing to pray for them. Somnang had written down his mother’s name.

A First for BGEA in Cambodia

Over seven decades, Billy Graham took the Gospel to all corners of the world, even areas typically closed off to evangelism. Today, Franklin Graham and Will Graham are following in his footsteps, but even in the long list of places these three generations have visited, this is the first time a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) event is being held in Cambodia.

Hundreds of Cambodian children heard the Gospel in late October during a KidzFest event preceding the Festival.

Derek Forbes and his family have lived in Phnom Penh the past nine months. Forbes has worked with the BGEA since 2006, helping plan Franklin Graham Festivals all over Asia, and is currently director for the upcoming Cambodia Festival.

“This has been one of the most challenging Festivals for me personally, but it has been good for my spiritual growth,” he said. “It keeps me on my knees and shows me that the enemy of the Gospel does not want the Festival to take place, but the pastors have been a joy to work with.

“The leadership believes so much that this is the perfect time for the Gospel and for Franklin to be coming alongside them in reaching the city.”

Since February, the local Festival team has held prayer rallies, trained church leaders in discipleship and evangelism, and taught more than 2,500 people how to share their faith through BGEA’s Christian Life and Witness Course. Thousands of children, youth, men and women have also been praying for specific people in their lives to come to the Festival and make Jesus the center of their lives.

While Pastor Somnang expects “opposition and persecution from the living enemy,” he knows there’s something more powerful also at work. “We have the Gospel that can set our people free from poverty, oppression [and] lacking of hope.”
