Representing Jesus in High Places – Owerri, Nigeria

0

Thursday 6th December 2018 marked the 44th year anniversary of the founding of CfaN.

December 6th, 1974 Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and his wife started this amazing journey that has resulted in more than 78-million people coming to Christ in some of the largest evangelistic events in history. And what better way to celebrate than with a Gospel Crusade.

In Owerri, Nigeria – the final crusade of 2018 began with Peter Vandenberg and Eddie James led worship.

The opening crowd was quite small compared to what we are used to, but the power of God was moving mightily on the field. After I preached the gospel and prayed for the sick, we heard testimonies of amazing miracles.

A young man with a lump protruding from his stomach said that during prayer it suddenly and completely vanished!

A woman suffering with fibroids for more years than she can remember, said that as we prayed the power of God came upon her. She began shaking violently and then realized that her fibroids had vanished.

An elderly man told us that his right hand had been frozen and paralyzed for over a year. Tonight he was healed completely. As he stood on the platform moving it freely he said, “Even now, I can feel warm blood flowing into it.”

On the second day there was a visit to the Governor of Imo State here in Owerri, Nigeria. At the governor’s mansion I was invited to speak to the governor, the first lady, the deputy governor and all the top cabinet leaders of the state. It was a precious opportunity to represent Jesus to those in high places.

After our visit, the governor and I appeared in a press conference together with all the regional media where I was able to invite the public to come to the crusade.

In the afternoon we met with our amazing team members for a make-shift Christmas dinner. This is our yearly tradition. It is a time of joy, laughter and thankfulness to God for His goodness this year. Several of our team members faced death over the last months on different occasions as they transported our equipment through war zones.

Our trucks have bullet holes in them as an enduring testimony to the Lord’s faithfulness and protection over the team. Most of all we thank the Lord for another year of historic harvest!

In the evening, the governor, his wife and their entire government entourage attended the crusade and were present throughout the service as I preached the Gospel. Afterwards the governor asked if we would come back again. It is clear that we have an open door in Imo State.

After I preached the Gospel, many wonderful miracles took place. A woman with a severe infection in her leg leaving her unable to walk, said that as I was praying tonight, the power of God came over her. She fell to the ground and when she got up she saw how that infection had literally drained right there on the field and she was able to walk perfectly.

A couple ladies with large lumps in their breasts said that they vanished instantly. Eyes and ears were healed. Cripples walked, danced and ran without their crutches!

Here in West Africa, during certain times of the year we experience a phenomenon called Harmattan. When this happens, fine dust particles from the Sahara desert blow into the atmosphere and travel hundreds of miles, covering West Africa in a blanket of powdery dust. The particles are so small that they hang suspended in the atmosphere, obscuring even the visibility of the sun at times.

Here in Owerri the Harmattan has combined with pollution to create a very unhealthy situation. On the final night, we were scheduled to broadcast the meetings live, via satellite uplink, but the dust was so thick our satellites had no reception.

But there was no hinderance to the power of God coming down in salvation, healing and deliverance. We prayed for the people to receive the Holy Spirit en mass and many were gloriously filled. Tens of thousands responded to the Gospel each night and there were more miracle testimonies than we could count.

One young man came to Owerri from another city because of the hospital here. He had been suffering for a long time with a growth on his body. He came to Owerri to have it removed. But while he was here, a lady told him about the crusade and he decided to come. During the prayer for the sick, his lump vanished completely.

In fact, this is one of the miracles we saw most in Owerri. Each night we have heard testimonies of lumps, tumors, fibroids and various growths instantly vanishing during prayer. Quite a few women with tumors in their breasts – some very large and painful – felt them disappear without a trace!

We have now arrived at the end of our crusade schedule for 2018 and as we look back, God has been so faithful this year. Not counting this crusade, we have recorded more than 1.2 million documented decisions for Christ in Africa.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Wives, Reverence Your Husbands

0
Wives, reverence and respect your husband’s opinion. Some of us, when our husband is saying one thing, we won’t allow him to land. That is not respect.
As you do that even in the presence of your children, you will become worthless to them.

Your children will learn it, and they will go and do it in their husband’s house.

This is very important. Some women are older than their husbands and it is not new or unheard of.

There was an old missionary in Ilesha Nigeria- Pa Elton. Probably you have heard about him. His wife was six years older than him. They had been in the camp with us for one week before, and I was watching the two of them.

Papa will say “Mama” (because Papa was already almost a Yoruba man). Then Mama will say “Daddy” and I will look and wonder “Who is Daddy here? and who is Mama?”.

They made their lives so easy and simple.

Women, please let us reverence our husbands.

Donnie McClurkin Survives Fatal Accident

0

Yesterday, Veteran Music Minister Donnie McClurkin who was in Lagos Nigeria for the 13th Edition of The Experience, shared a testimony of deliverance from a road traffic accident that would have taken his life

Was in a serious accident at 12:50am yesterday morning…passed out while driving on the highway. Totaled the car…hospitalized, going through a myriad of tests…..

But I’m alive!!!

Lost consciousness driving…but two human angels followed my swerving car with their emergency blinkers onto stop traffic ….drove behind me until my car crashed into the middle concrete island. I remember none of it except those two angels pulling me out of the passengers side of the crumbled TOTALED car..airbags deployed…crushed metal and Fiberglas!!

I AM ALIVE!!!!

Somewhat mangled, stitches on left thumb, sprained wrist, hurt knee, but I’m still here!

God and two angels saved my life! I owe them…

I am still here by the grace of God!

Thank you, Lord…thank you!

This is the totaled car that two angels rescued me from ….after passing out while driving I don’t remember most of what happened a day and a half ago…but God!

I override doctors and sisters advice and flew to KENYA today for ministry Saturday @ TWO RIVERS. and home on this Sunday to celebrate life

My new Christmas single “MY FAVORITE THINGS” has one more thing added to the list….LIFE!

I’m hurting and limping (a little) but I’m STILL HERE!!!

The Will Of God – Nathaniel Bassey

There was a time I nursed a strong desire to travel abroad. As most young musicians, I wanted to tour the world. Even after I began to grow in Christ, I was not really dead to this wish. So we would go for visa interviews. The US & UK.

In fact, all of those applications were by the church for conferences my late Pastor and Mentor wanted me to attend.
I remember some of the nights preceding the interviews.

I’d pray all night, read chapters of the Bible. I mean read whole books out loud. Eg, Revelations, Some Psalms etc. sow seeds, etc. Then get to the embassy and get a very POWERFUL NO stamped on my passport. This continued for a few years.

But then as I grew in Christ, I became dead to traveling. That wish died. I couldn’t even be bothered. And I say this with every sense of humility and sincerity. I got to a point where the rejections never influenced what I thought of who God was/is to me. God and the things of God captured my heart.

I’ve since found that in this Kingdom, “You will control & have whatever you are able to die to”

Today, The gates of the nations are practically opened to me. I travel so much, sometimes I don’t want to hear a thing about traveling. In fact, sometimes with special kinds of visas for a select few.

This is what I have found. If I had traveled those times, I would NOT be doing what I’m doing today. There probably won’t be the songs and things that have blessed the world today.

It was not time. My motive was not right. I would have, perhaps, traveled and ran away or stayed back. And certainly towing a path opposite to this.

Brothers & Sisters, sometimes what we call disappoints are actually deliverances.

God’s amazing Grace and Mercy at work. Keeping us back from missing it.

Dear Friends, I pray with you today, that in our lives, only the WILL OF GOD shall be done and established, in His own way and time in Jesus’ name. …

Pastor Adeboye, VP Osinbajo Sing At 2018 Presidential Christmas Carol

0

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon were among worshippers at the 2018 Presidential Christmas Carol.

The Carol tagged “Christmas Praise Concert”, was held at the State House Banquet Hall, on Thursday in Abuja.

Wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, were also among the worshippers.

The first Bible reading taken from Luke 2:18 –18, was read by Mrs Victoria Gowon, wife of the former Head of State, Gowon, while the second reading taken from Isaiah 7:14–15, 9:6–7, was read by Gov. Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State.

The Gospel lesson taken from Luke 2: 1–7, was read by SGF, Mustapha.

In his Christmas message, Ps Adeboye thanked God for peace in Nigeria and prayed God to continue to protect the nation and bring lasting peace to it.

He prayed for God’s mercy on the nation and committed the 2019 general elections into God’s hands.

In a special intercession, Pastor Seyi Malomo, Chaplain, State House Chapel, prayed for Nigeria and its leaders especially, President Muhammad Buhari, who would mark his birthday on Dec. 16.

The congregation was thrilled by renditions from various choir groups, including Aguda House Choir, Aso Villa Chapel Choir, Aso Villa Chapel Children Choir, Plateau Unity Choir and Praise Chorale, Lagos, among others.

Also in attendance were the governors of Oyo, Lagos, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Ekiti states as well as royal fathers, clergies, captains of industry and members of the National Assembly.

‘In God We Trust’ Makes a Return to Schools, Public Buildings One State at a Time

0

Laws were passed earlier in 2018 that required or allowed schools, as well as other public buildings, to openly display “In God We Trust.” Florida is just one of the states in which these laws were passed.

An article from CBN News reports that the same law was also passed for Arizona, which allowed their schools to display the state’s motto – “God Enriches” – in English, which can be seen in Latin on the Grand Canyon state seal.

At this time, even more state legislatures are seeking to represent the presence of the Lord on their schools and public buildings.

A few state lawmakers are even trying to permit or call for the Ten Commandments to be posted in schools and in other public places.

Wyoming State Rep. Cheri Steinmetz seen in March showing an “In God We Trust” sign.

In November, voters in Alabama passed an initiative allowing the Ten Commandments to be displayed on state property. Those in support of the initiative would like for it to become law and, if challenged, the conservative majority on the Supreme Court would give it the seal of approval.

Back in 2017, Arkansas passed a law that was much like the one passed in Florida. Jim Dotson, Arkansas state Rep., sponsored the measure that called for the posting of “In God We Trust” in each and every school classroom. Following this, he has continued to help other lawmakers create laws that are similar in purpose.

“Our history and our heritage is incredibly important, making sure that we as a nation remember our roots, remember where we came from,” Dotson informed The Washington Post. “America is an exceptional nation. It’s the greatest nation in the history of this planet. Obviously, that success is attributed not just to individuals but probably some higher power than ourselves.”

Florida state Rep. Kimberly Daniels (D-Jacksonville), who sponsored the bill to get “In God We Trust” in all public schools in The Sunshine State, spoke with CBN News in February, saying, “I believe with all the negativity going on, our children need to know the foundation of what this country is all about and what it was founded on.”

“God is positive; I put that forth like that because people want to make God a negative thing; God is good,” Daniels explained. “And God is the Creator; He’s the Initiator; He’s the Alpha; He’s the Omega, and our children need to see that because the eyes are the gateway to the soul.”

Franklin Graham: “It’s Not Just A War On Christmas, It’s An Attack On Jesus Christ”

0

Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, one of the nation’s most prominent evangelical Christian leaders has said that secularists are on a mission this Christmas season to destroy the name of Jesus Christ.

“These are more than just an attack on Christmas. This is an attack on Jesus Christ,” Graham said on my Fox Nationtelevision program.

“The secularists want to do everything they can to take Christ out of everything in this country—even His birthday,” he said on Starnes Country. “The secularists want to destroy not only the name of Christ but take Him out of our society completely…”

https://www.facebook.com/ToddStarnesFNC/videos/282592019113435/

Graham said he is encouraged that people of faith across the nation are standing up and fighting back against the attempts to take Christ out of Christmas. And he gave some of the credit to President Trump.

“When the president takes a stand, like saying ‘Merry Christmas’, this emboldens others to take a stand just like the president—not just to say, ‘Merry Christmas’, but to fight back,” he said.

He referenced the incident in Elkhorn, Nebraska where citizens complained after a principal banned anything related to Christmas—including Christmas carols and candy canes.

The school district reversed the ban and placed the principal on administrative leave.

“People rose up and now she’s on the naughty list,” Graham said. “When the president takes a stand for Christmas and others take a stand, I say God bless you.”

13th Edition of The Experience – Lagos

0

The Experience held every December and hosted by the Pastor Paul and Ifeanyi Adefarasin led House on the Rock Church is the largest annual concert as well as the largest gospel music event in the world.

Over 600,000 people attended the 13th Edition of The Experience at the Tafawa Balewa Square.

The Experience 13 – #JESUSOURPEACE

Ministrations began and it was a superlative opening performance by Tim Godfrey and the fearless crew.

Worship was at its peak with Travis Greene lighting up the entire city. In a surprising, unexpected collabo, Travis Greene and JJ Hairston – one has featured severally at the Experience and the other is a newcomer to this platform, but the synergy was undeniable and the anointing in their song was palpable. What a song! What a blessing!! Such an anointing!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY3dO4JMWiM

Just when you thought Travis had worn everyone out with powerful worship that was very intentional, Tim Godfrey was on to not just light the fire but let the fire of worship, dance and praise burn. Getting literally everyone on their feet.

This year’s edition was full of surprises and great collabos. Tim brought back Travis for their anointed song “Nara” and the whole arena went loud!

We were blessed by the ministration of Pastor Donnie McClurkin. His high pitched, multi-ranged vocal prowess is just what we need to power through the night and come out in victory!

It was indeed a time of true worship with Chioma Jesus. Language was not a barrier as the Spirit of God was poured out until we were filled.

Vicki Yohe is an awesome real worshipper. She was so overwhelmed to be on stage for the first time.

She made her debut at The Experience with her hit song “Because Of Who You Are”

https://www.facebook.com/theexperiencelagos/videos/523703411444264/

With his wind instrument, Mike Aremu had everyone at The Experience 2018 on their feet.

The saxophonist gave us back-to-back praise songs and turned the over 700,000 worshippers to his backup singers as we sang along from the first note to the very last word on the lyrics.

https://www.facebook.com/theexperiencelagos/videos/272977750068246/

You literally could feel the presence of God during Ada Ehi’s ministration at The Experience.

“Jesus, you love me too much o!” and we all went “Too much, too much o, excess love o” because no one else loves like #JesusOurPeace.

https://www.facebook.com/theexperiencelagos/videos/287499878568708/

The presence of God was felt mightily in the whole arena as Planet Shakers switched from praise to worship. Not a single person left the place the same. Yokes were broken under this unusual anointing.

Bars of irons were rendered asunder. The life giving Spirit of God was there to give strength to the weak and heal the sick.

The Experience 13 wouldn’t have been complete without the god-father of Christian music – papa Don Moen- who was there on the grounds for the 11th time.

Let the sound of rejoicing fill this House
Hallelujah Eh! Hallelujah O Oh!
Hallelujah Eh! It’s the sound of Victory

Kirk Franklin was back on The Experience stage with so much vigor. The arena was fully charged with over 600,000 worshippers singing to the tune of his award winning songs. Classic and ever green.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phe8gzf7Ppc

“After Kirk Franklin showed his mad dance skills, Bishop Feb Idahosa rounded up this year’s experience beautifully with the closing charge and prayer…

We bless God for the successful hosting of over 600,000 worshippers at The Experience 2018.

Such an experience as the one we had on Friday/Saturday is always followed by signs and wonders and we know it’s your time and turn to testify to the goodness of God.

“Count your blessings, name them one by one”
