Christmas At The Billy Graham Library Begins On Thursday

0

Christmas at the Library has become an annual tradition for many, with more than 385,000 celebrating this wonderful season at the Billy Graham Library since its opening in 2007. Thousands of visitors are anticipated this year for the 11th annual Christmas at the Library, which runs Nov. 29-Dec. 22.

“For more than 80 years, Billy Graham preached on the cross,” said Scott Holmquist, executive director of the Billy Graham Library. “The cross wouldn’t exist without the manger. At Christmas at the Library, we’ll celebrate the gift of Jesus Christ to the world through the salvation He offers all people by His death on the cross and resurrection.”

Christmas at the Library—which kicks-off a few days earlier this year—welcomes people from across the Southeast and the U.S. to experience the retelling of the birth of Jesus Christ, complete with a live Nativity depicting the very first Christmas night. Guests can also enjoy holiday favorites including horse-drawn carriage rides; Christmas story time for children; live music from carolers; a beautiful light display; a large, ornamented Christmas tree; holiday shopping and more. Carriage rides are $8 per adult and $4 per child under 12.

Christmas dinner, served at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association headquarters building adjacent to the Library grounds, is available Thursday through Saturday each week at 5 and 7 p.m. This traditional holiday meal features turkey and carved ham with maple Dijon glaze, cranberry cornbread stuffing, other savory dishes and an assortment of festive desserts. Space is limited and prepaid advance reservations are required.

The Library’s operating hours during Christmas at the Library are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays.

Throughout the day, visitors are also invited to tour The Journey of Faith, the main presentation of the Library, which covers the life and ministry of evangelist Billy Graham. During the month of December, guests to The Journey of Faith can discover a special display entitled “Honoring the Life of Billy Graham: Then and Now,” which examines the legacy of Billy Graham, while also looking forward to how that legacy is continuing through Franklin Graham, Will Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association today.

Admission and parking at the Library is free.

Family Breakthrough Day With Dr. Morris And Theresa Cerullo

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

Ephesians 2:13-14, NKJV

Beloved, as the holiday season approaches, thoughts of time spent with family, friends, and loved ones come to mind. This can be a time of excitement and joy … filled with celebrations, fellowship, and memories. But, for many people, it’s a time of struggle, pain, and loneliness…

During this time of the year, when loved ones and relationships are in the forefront of many people’s minds, Satan chooses to launch his most diabolical attacks against one of God’s most precious creations … YOUR FAMILY.

NOW MORE THAN EVER, FAMILIES ARE UNDER ATTACK as never before … broken relationships, offenses, addictions, wayward children, abuse and violence, and fighting are just some of the weapons Satan is bringing against families. There is NOTHING Satan would like more than to destroy your well-being and your service to God.

Now is our time to take a stand against the devil’s war on your family and relationships!

The devil is specifically targeting YOU, because you are a child of God and a threat to him! Listen to me … God has placed His anointing upon me to rebuke the strategies of the devil and to quench all of these fiery darts!

God has spoken to me that you and I must COME TOGETHER AGAINST THE DEVIL AND HIS ATTACK on your family and relationships. Strife and division will hinder the peace of God and His divine power from flowing through you!

It’s time we stop Satan from robbing God’s blessings over your life!

Beloved, join me for a special time of prayer, fasting, and intercession for your family and for your relationships. You must join Theresa and me on Friday, December 7, for FAMILY BREAKTHROUGH DAY. God told me to dedicate this day for lifting up your family needs and your breakthrough prayer requests.

Family Breakthrough Day will be our time of consecration for you that will break through the spiritual strongholds and DEMOLISH THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY AGAINST YOUR HOME! Your family, your relationships, your finances, and your destiny will never be the same!

With the prayer you will receive on FAMILY BREAKTHROUGH DAY … something powerful will happen! Theresa and I are setting aside the whole day … we are going to be praying and fasting for YOU, beloved. This is YOUR TIME for God to do something special for your family.

As much as God wants to BLESS YOU, He cannot without your participation …

I take my assignment as God’s servant seriously … God directed me to ask you, as we come against the enemy that’s attacking your home … to consecrate your best offering of $37, $107, or $77 for the specific family breakthroughs and blessings you need!

Beloved, what would you give if you knew you were guaranteed an overwhelming financial and physical return? How much is a harvest of blessings, prosperity, health, and wholeness worth to your family?

God wants to DELIVER YOU out of your struggles … into a prosperous place in Him where all of your needs are met … your family and your relationships are blessed … with an overflow of abundance for every emotional, financial, and spiritual blessing!

As you believe God’s prophet, join Theresa and me for Family Breakthrough Day, Friday, December 7. We have committed before God to place your prayer requests on our Miracle Prayer Altar, where we will lay our hands on your needs and win the spiritual war against the enemy’s attacks against your family and relationships.

Anne Graham Lotz May Need To Quit Chemo Over Side Effects

0

Anne Graham Lotz is not doing well, and she needs our prayers. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer (three years to the day of her husband’s untimely death), Lotz has been through surgery and now chemotherapy, as the surgery was not successful in eradicating all of the cancer.

Lotz shared of the experience in October, “Yesterday I had my one-week check-up after breast cancer surgery. While there are some issues to be expected, the doctor believes that all seem to be healing nicely, for which I praise God. The surgeon then revealed, with compassion in her eyes, that she had the pathology report.”

“As she went over the numbers, it became evident that the results were not what I had prayed they would be,” continued Lotz. “A trace of cancer was found in the lymph nodes which alters the follow-up treatment significantly. So beginning October 18th I will begin eighteen weeks of chemotherapy, with additional treatments stretching out over the next twelve months. The adventurous journey through the valley of the shadow will be longer than anticipated. BUT I am still confident the Shepherd will walk with me each step of the way until He sees me safely through!”

Anne Graham Lotz grateful for prayers

So Lotz entered chemotherapy in October. But her brother, Franklin Graham, just shared that it has been very hard on her body, to the point that she may not be able to continue. “Just talked with my sister Anne Graham Lotz, and she is experiencing severe side effects from her last chemotherapy treatment which may jeopardize whether she can continue. I know she would appreciate your prayers,” wrote Graham on his Facebook on November 20th.

Over 45,000 prayers and wishes were given in response to Graham’s request. And undoubtedly many more are being offered up for Lotz around the world. But her struggle continues, and it is inward as well as outward, as she courageously shared last week.

Lotz had to get her head shaved because of all of the hair she has lost through chemo. She shared how hard it was for her emotionally. In a vulnerable yet strong blog post entitled “Thankful The Real Treasure Is Inside,” Lotz shares how she went to her friend to shave her head.

Young Missionary Leaves Behind Powerful Letters About God’s Goodness

Family members say Kelly Anne Broderick, a young woman killed by a wrong-way driver Saturday morning in Colorado had a “supremely strong faith.”

Broderick, 27, was driving with her friend to an airport near Denver’s Santa Fe Drive and Dartmouth Avenue when a vehicle driving in the wrong direction crashed into hers. Police say she died at the scene. Broderick’s mother told 9NEWS her friend, who was driving the car, was injured but has since been released from the hospital.

Broderick was known for loving Jesus and loving others. In 2016, she completed The World Race, an 11-month mission trip that took her to 11 different countries around the world. She and her team brought the gospel to Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

The young missionary wrote a blog detailing what God taught her in those 11 months about dreams, identity, and even death.

“I realized my path is already known by my Creator but very unknown to me. So much of my identity has been caught up in how my future career will define me. I have often thought of how I need to bulldoze my way to get there and be successful, that I pass over the risky ‘road less traveled’ ways to get there and miss out on the joy of the journey,” she wrote.

“It might sound crazy, insane even, to live out of a backpack for a year, have a sleeping bag as a bed, and go on what is sure to be the hardest mental, physical, and spiritual trip of my life, but I have no fear. For almost a year I will be a missionary, I will get to serve and love people well and make an impact in the nations as my job. Talk about a dream,” Broderick continued.

During her time abroad, she opened up about her struggles with comparison and how important it is for people to know that their identities have eternal significance.

“Jesus did not come and die for us so we would walk with our heads low comparing ourselves to others and constantly tearing ourselves down. He came so I could claim my place in His eternal kingdom and title as His daughter. Not so I would have to earn it, but so I would be freely given it,” she wrote.

The 11-month journey had many moments of laughter and celebration, but Broderick also felt the sting of loss when she learned her uncle passed away and she could not attend the funeral. In her blog, she said prayer was the only remedy for her grief.

“I’ll pray because our earthly bodies are fragile and can betray us when we least expect it. I’ll pray because I am thankful I have such a loving and devoted family to call mine, and right now they are hurting. I’ll pray because God knows the reason why when none of this makes sense. l pray because it is literally all I can do,” she wrote.

“We will initiate a security-based development project dubbed ‘Police Station and Post Project (PSPP)’ to put up police stations/police posts in some selected deprived communities and insecure areas. Apostle Nyamekye further announced that the Church in collaboration with the Ghana Prisons Service, will initiate the construction of accommodation facilities (cells) for selected prisons in the country as part of efforts to support Government in easing congestions in the prisons.

‘I Used to Sneak Up to the Attic to Listen to Billy Graham’: 10 Stories Of Changed Lives

0

Since Billy Graham went to be with the Lord on Feb. 21, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has received tens of thousands of messages about how God used Mr. Graham to reach people all over the world.

Below are 10 new stories from men and women who encountered God’s love through Mr. Graham and his use of radio, television, movies, the internet and more.

“During a Billy Graham Crusade in 1984, he spoke to me so clearly on TV about my sinful state and how Jesus was my path to salvation. It was the first time that I ever understood it. I went to a local church that was having a revival meeting. I received Jesus that night. Thank you BGEA!” —Terry

“I will never forget the service in a soccer field on Tan Son Nhut Air Base, Vietnam 1968. Dr. Graham came and spoke to a group of U.S. military service men and women. His testimony of God’s love and grace will live in the lives of all who were blessed to hear his message. A true servant of our Lord.” —Dan

“Billy Graham’s televised crusades were a light that shone into the darkness of my childhood home.” —Marianne

“I am only 18, but Billy Graham’s ministry has done so much to bring my heart closer to Christ. I only wish I could have met him while on Earth, but I know someday I’ll meet him. My greatest goal in life is to do what he did: Share the Gospel.” —John

“My son, Collin, is 22 years old and has cerebral palsy. He has watched Billy Graham’s messages for over 10 years. He is focused on his every word. Words cannot express the peace his words have given my son, who knows he was created this way for a purpose and this is NOT his home.” —Sandy

“Billy Graham leaves a legacy the world cannot even fathom. I start each day with the devotionals he crafted. They have been a source of comfort and learning, bringing me to a closer walk with God and deepening the Word in my soul. His clear and simple message has guided, comforted and inspired me.” —Nancy

“When I was 12 years old (1962) I used to sneak up to the attic to listen to Billy Graham on the radio. My father didn’t like Protestants, blacks, Hispanics, etc. I knew discrimination was wrong, so I risked disobeying my dad to listen to Billy. Billy’s Gospel hit me, and I accepted Jesus!” —Paddy

“A scholarship paid for by royalties from Billy Graham’s book Angels was awarded to me in 1976 that enabled me to attend the Billy Graham Graduate School of Communication Studies at Wheaton Graduate School. I met Billy twice at Wheaton, graduated in 1978, and am deeply grateful for his kindness.” —Daniel

“I’m a Christian because of Billy Graham. When I was a child, I was sick really frequently and fairly seriously. To help pass the time in bed, I listened to Billy Graham on the radio. He told me that God loved me and explained about Jesus. I committed to Him at that time.” —Kitty

“I got saved at our downtown theatre in 1974 following the showing of A Time to Run. My life was changed forever because of Billy Graham.” —Tami
