He’s Never Too Late

0

Dearly beloved, I welcome you to a week of God’s divine Providence. As we go through this week’s devotions and prayer, build faith in God knowing that He is an ever-present help in time of need.

Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”
John 11:21‭-‬22 NKJV

Many believers give up when things are not going well. Many are left disappointed because they feel God has forgotten about their pain and predicament. Some lose faith in God and may even resort entirely on human help. “God may not be there when you need Him but He’s never too late.”

He shows up at the right time when all hope seems lost and gives you a tangible miracle.

Having been called by Mary and Martha, He delayed until Lazarus, his friend, died. He went into Judea without remorse because He knew the final decision was within His limitless power. While Martha was mourning and lamenting as many believers do, He was excited about last hour miracle He was bringing to the family and the glory they will bring to the kingdom. Eventually, he resurrected Lazarus and it was glorious in the city.

In trying moments of waiting, faith is being tested. God has stretched my faith on many occasions when I needed Him most. Perseverance and dependence on Him eventually paid off. God is never too late.

He may not show up at the time you need Him but maintain your faith, stay focused on Him, keep your positive confession and never give up the fight. In the nick of time He will show up and your Lazarus shall live again.

Declare this:
Father, give me faith to believe that no matter the delays in my life, you are faithful enough to give me an eleventh hour miracle in Jesus’ name. Amen

Iraqi Christian Burned Alive By ISIS Three Times Miraculously Survives, Sees Jesus In Vision

0

An Iraqi Christian experienced a series of miracles while persecuted for his faith at the hands of Islamic extremists, including an encounter with Jesus and surviving terrorists’ attempts to burn him alive — three times.

The Yazidi man was interviewed for a documentary, “Heart and Hands: Iraq,” by Sean Feucht, head of the non-profit Light A Candle Project, and Bethel Music. In it, Feucht travels the world to hear the stories of those persecuted for their faith.

In a preview of the documentary aired at the Heaven Come conference in LA, the Yazidi man reveals there was “pressure” from ISIS to convert to Islam. But amid persecution, Jesus appeared to him in a dream.

“Thanks be to God for that,” he said. “He spoke to me…[but] I cannot tell you what He said. It’s a promise between me and Christ.”

“I asked Jesus one thing,” he continued. “And He answered me.”

Later in the interview, the man revealed that once ISIS found out he was a follower of Christ, they began stoning him.

“They were hitting me with big rocks on my body,” he recalled. “The stones were fine, not affecting me.”

The man said that after stoning him, ISIS members drenched him in 20 gallons of gasoline. But even though he was burned alive a total of three times, he said he somehow survived unharmed.

“And they burned me, but I didn’t burn,” he said, crediting Jesus for his miraculous survival.

The Yazidi man was one of many Christians interviewed by Feucht, who said he believes he is “called to the most persecuted, closed, dark, marginalized places,” Fox News reports.

Feucht said he is encouraged by the growth of the church in Iraq, China, and India — three countries where it’s most difficult to be a Christian, according to persecution watchdog Open Doors USA.

“Our team’s in Iraq right now, and the U.S. State Department just sent out this notification that said ‘All US personnel leave Iraq’ and all the NGOs left but our guys are still there. We were there through ISIS. We’ve been there through the worst of the worst,” Feucht said. “Everyone thought we were crazy. Right as everyone was leaving, we came in, and because of it, we have a thriving, flourishing project there.”

Feucht said that so far, his group has raised over $100,000 to distribute food, blankets, mattresses, and other materials, as well as offering trauma therapy counseling and kids programs, teaching music, and praying with persecuted Christians in the region.

Billy’s Graham’s Historic Crusade in Seoul, South Korea

0

From May 30 to June 3, 1973, an estimated 3.2 million people attended Billy Graham’s largest ever Crusade in Seoul, South Korea, with 1.1 million traveling—mostly by foot—to the final service on the airstrip at Yoi-do Plaza. Some 75,000 people submitted cards showing they made a decision for Christ because of that Crusade.

The historic plaza is less than 100 miles west of the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium, where millions more have gathered for the Winter Games.

On June 3 in 1973, Billy Graham closed his 5-day Seoul, Korea Crusade in front of a crowd estimated by local officials to exceed 1.1 million. Over the course of the Crusade, Mr. Graham preached to more than 3 million, which topped the totals of the historic 16-week, 1957 New York City Crusade. These excerpts from John Pollock’s authorized biography of Billy Graham, The Billy Graham Story, give us insight into that historic day.

About 300,000 people gathered for the first service. The ground had been grid-marked for crowd control, allowing almost exact statistics. As the team and staff members looked from the platform at the crowd stretching away in both directions of the long plaza, some wept openly as they felt “the waves of anticipation and joy and excitement pouring up” from the huge crowd down below. Billy had often said that statistics are totally meaningless in the sight of God, but no preacher could fail to be moved when he walked onto the platform and saw such a crowd under the arc lights. Ruth wrote to her family, “It is one of those things impossible to take in.”

Billy was determined that it should be for God’s glory, not the team’s. As one missionary commented, “Here were men and women who were really committed to the things of God. It became very obvious to me why he was blessing their ministry so richly: it was because they had no illusions but that it was all his. They seemed very careful from Mr. Graham on down, to protect that aspect not to get their eyes off Jesus – lest, like Peter, they sink in to the waves.”

“The real story of the Crusades is not in the great choirs, the thousands in attendance, nor the hundreds of inquirers who are counseled. The real story is in the changes that have taken place in the hearts and lives of people.” —Billy Graham

Sunday, June 3, 1973, turned warm with only passing clouds. Two hours before the service time at 3 p.m., Billy and his interpreter Dr. Billy Kim, joined the stream flowing toward Yoido.

When Billy Graham mounted the platform, a solid block of humanity quietly awaited him. Every section, every aisle between, and away to edges of the plaza hitherto unused, sat an unbroken mass of people, who throughout that service, unless singing, stayed incredibly quiet.

For all who took part, that final crusade service is a dreamlike memory: the solemn responsibility of ministering to such a multitude, the visual impact of so many mortals in one place.

Billy Graham knew he had a special responsibility when he came to the invitation at the close of his sermon. With a million present, it would have been easy to trigger a mass reaction. He therefore made his invitation harder than usual. “If you’re willing to forsake all other gods, stand up.” There was a hush upon the audience at first. Then one here and one there arose, until thousands were standing. Billy led them in the prayer of accepting Christ…Then he said, “counselors with your material, make your way back to those people who are standing.” Over 12,000 cards came in that day. Thousands more followed  by mail…and, as the future showed, a great many made genuine commitments who never were reached by a counselor at the plaza.

PENTECOSTAL COUNCIL IN GHANA CONDEMNS SPEAKER’S CALL TO REGULATE CHURCHES BY LAW

0

A call by the speaker of the Parliament of Ghana on the Joint Committee of Parliament on legal and constitutional issues, to come up with recommendations within one month on the possie regulations of churches has met stiff opposition from the country’s main Pentecostal and Charismatic body, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council.

The Council, one of the main leading bodies governing Christian bodies in the West African country of Ghana stated in the press statement which was released on the 31st of June 2019, said it found the call dangerous. The press statement also described the call as unfortunate because according to the press release, “who has the prerogative to decide a church is a one-man church”

The GPCC took the view that such matters should be left in the hands of ecumenical bodies because so they can deal with them. However, the GPCC approved the call for all churches to register with one ecumenical body or other. Issues affecting Christians according to the GPCC should not be left in the hands of Parliamentarians.
